The template I decided I was going to use was the Chicken farm template on WIX.
I was going to choose the Agricultural design for my website however I did not like the layout as it was very similar to what Payne Crop Currently have for their own web page so i decided against it. Whereas the Chicken farm design feels much more modern and would be a massive update for the Payne Crop Nutrition.
For my website,the first thing you see is the picture of the staff at Payne Crop Nutrition. And here we see the name of the company and their tag line- your soil, your crop, your bespoke fertiliser supplier.
On the Chicken farm design, there are only a few pages on the site so I had to create some more as my client wanted the same information to go across from their own website. On the all products and services page, I put a menu tab that covered all the content that would be in that section. This has been done because it is easier to navigate than the current Payne Crop website. This means that it will be much easier for viewers to navigate and they will have a much easier experience than they would on the previous site.
My clients have not been that involved in terms of communication because they are very busy and it is not a priority however they have been generally very happy with what they have seen and are pleased that I kept the same information that is currently on the website
When I send the final project to my client to get some final feedback and this what I received:

At the top of the homepage we see a menu where we can find the content of the website:

- Payne Promise
- Products and services
- Our team
I have used images of Payne’s such as bags of fertiliser or the mixer all of which I took myself around their yard.. These give it a nice touch and is nicer to look at rather than a plain background that the current website which has a lot of white space which is boring to look at. All of these images are related to the company or fertiliser so it gives a more professional touch to the design
I went into film and take pictures on Tuesday 18th I wanted to take photos of all the staff and of around the yard.When I was designing the website before I went to shoot I used place holder images of the cast of The Office US until I got new pictures however I was unable to get any pictures of the staff because there was very few of them there that day meaning that I have to use the photos already on their current website, which was disappointing as the pictures are 3 years old and are not the best quality so I wanted to get some nicer looking more recent photos to go on a more updated looking site. Especially since the photos were put on the website new staff members have joined the company however that it was not to be. I did manage to get lots of photos and videos of the yard, equipment, machinery and the buildings.
As it is a working yard and there is lots of lorries and other vehicles moving around the site, I had to be very careful and was told I could not get too close which was fine as I still could could get good images of a very muddy yard .
I decided very early that I was going to copy the information that currently resides on the actual Payne crop site as I know absolutely nothing about fertiliser so I’d rather use the information they’ve have written as they know it’s correct and more importantly their clients know it’s correct. So I’ve decided to do that and not get anything wrong. i checked early on with Luke and my client to see if that was okay and they agreed that it was fine.
Although the text is the exact same the layout is very different. On the actual Payne Crop website, the writing is very small and compact into the same space, which may make it hard to read especially if you have poor eye sight. Meanwhile my website has spread the text out and it is in a much bigger and nicer font which is more attractive and is clearer to read.
One thing that the chicken farm template has that my website does not have is a shop. The Chicken farm template has an online store that enables you to purchase products from the chicken farm. I spoke to my client to see if they would want an online store in which customers could buy products that they needed from the site, however my client said no because they get orders from clients via their sales team or through telephone calls to the head office to the logistics manager. So as per their request I removed the store as there was no need for it.
Another thing that the template has, that my site doesn't is an Instagram section.
I immediately knew I was not going to include a Instagram page because Payne Crop Nutrition do not have an Instagram page. However the do have a twitter account which I decided to add to the homepage. I decided to add the Twitter page because it is usually very active and they update it regularly so I thought it would be good to add so viewers can see what Payne's are up to and if anything they do can benefit them.

I am very pleased with this feedback because that was what I was hoping to achieve from the website to make it much more easy for clients of Payne Crop Nutrition to be able to use and access resources and information that suits their needs. And I am pleased that my client is very happy with how accessible I have made the website.
